My curiosity about this massive tourist destination finally got the better of me, and I arrived at the Great Stupa of Universal Compassion. And it’s massive.
It’s not about The Chocolate Box.
Because of its youthful optimism, Koko Black (contrary to its name) has the most eye-wateringly bright packaging I’ve ever seen encasing chocolate. And I went to Lindt during this tour.
Ganache has put all their Christmas stock down by 40%. They all look so expertly crafted that I’m not surprised they’re struggling to move the chocolate: they all look to artisian to eat. I’d feel genuinely guilty.
According to their website, Haigh’s crafts “new recipes” and “fine-tune old favourites” each year. I’m not convinced those “new recipes” mean any kind of “innovation”.
